The new Huyndai Sonata is born. In
this TV-commercial, the car`s various parts develop in an underwater-environment
and float into their final position.
I was very happy, as I had the chance to work on two shots from
the modeling stage to the final rendering, completely on my
own.

This are two commercials for HCF.
All background elements were designed by an illustrator and
mapped on cards which were then positioned in 3D space. The
result is a scene that has a very painterly look, but also a
certain depth.
This is a commercial which demonstrates
the benifit of owning a visa-card, even in the deepest jungle.
It's mainly a live-action commercial. The main task for 3D was
to put cg-hats on the heads of the monkeys, as they refused
to wear them in some shots during the shooting.
I never really intended, to make
this become a whole short movie. All began, when me and my former
roommate Florian were trying to improve our skills in rigging
characters.
We were so tired of the characters from our former short-film
"Inculta", which were so hard to animate. Our goal
was, to build a character, which is not limited in it`s movement
by means of deformations. I designed both characters during
a boring lecture and we began modelling. When we saw the final
results, we came up with the idea of doing a short animation
with them and began with the concept of Bokksakk (for those,
who wonder, what Bokksakk means. it`s simply the names of the
two characters Bokk and Sakk).
Unfortunately, after a while Florian decided to concentrate
on compositing, as he wants to work as a compositor later. So,
I finished the short on my own.

Inculta, that´s the story of
Enola. In a not too distant future she will be scouring the
devastated earth as one of the last survivors of the human race.
All of a sudden and through no fault of hers, the discovery
of some little item, exposes her to the danger of death..."

This is a team entry, for the Jan/Feb CG-Talk VFX-Challenge
We filmed our actress in front of a bluescreen. After the
shooting, we took many photos of her, in order to use them
as modelling guides and for texturing. The 3D model was than
rotoscoped to our actress` movements and the necessary effects,
such as shatter and particles were created in Maya.
We rendered many different layers, which were later combined
in combustion*.

Voodoorama is a crazy mixture of
2D Animation with 3D Backgrounds. A "nightmarish"
battle between a voodoo priest and a vampire, who is beeing
disturbed in his nightly rest, forms the central conflict.

Heat of Madness is a music video,
which was created during my third term at the german film school.
Our team had about one week, to develop a concept for a clip,
finding a location and shooting the video. Another week was
used for editing, compositing and digital colour- correction.
There is also a scene, which uses some 3D-elements but clearly,
this is more of a live-action project.
Nonetheless, I want to show this piece, since I like the result
and it was definitely an unusual experience and a fun-project
to work on.
